I have my G Grandmother's photo album. They lived near Hazelhurst until the end of the Civ. War and then
moved to Texas. One of the photos in the album is of a young man and I don't know who he is. On the back of the photo is "L.D. Greenlaw, Photographer, Hazlehurst, Miss."

James Eulis O'Quin, born at Wesson, CopiahCounty, in 1934, was given this old photo with "Mrs.
M. E. Harper" inscribed in pencil on the folder. His mother was Cora Enzie Harper (b. 1915) before she married Melvin (Wm. Melvin) O'Quin, & her mother was Martha Belle (West) Harper (b.
1890). It was at this grandmother's house that he was born. His grandfather worked for the railroad. I also have some pictures of this grandfather...C. C. Harper, Sr. (taken with 2
of his sons around 1917). But was M. E. Harper C.C. 's mother , & when & where was she born? |
